Anne is recognized as a visionary thought leader and accomplished executive in growing and scaling initiatives, programs and companies. Her cross-sector experience spans across technology, education and research for higher education, K-12, corporate learning and philanthropy.
Anne is the Chief University Officer of InStride, a learning services enterprise designed to achieve significant social impact through partnerships with universities and employers, providing employees the opportunity to earn the highest-quality degrees. She oversees the educational product offering and the consortium of InStride university partners.
Prior to InStride, Anne was the Founder of Quantum Thinking, a global higher education innovation advisory firm dealing with new models of educational partnerships and, most recently served as an Entrepreneur-in-Residence and Senior Fellow for Technology & Innovation for the Postsecondary Team for the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation.
Throughout her career, Anne has held several global leadership positions such as President, Global Solutions, Americas for Kaplan Ventures; SVP of Pearson Learning Solutions & Pearson eCollege; SVP for Corporate Strategy, Innovation, New Product Development and Marketing for SCT/SunGard HE (now Ellucian) and was the early stage Executive VP of Global Sales and Client Relations at Blackboard. Prior to joining Blackboard, Anne was Vice President of HE Sales for PeopleSoft (now Oracle); Sales Director for Datatel (Ellucian) and VP of Sales & Operations for Fujitsu. She has also served as Director of Development and Alumni Relations for Prescott College in Arizona.
Anne holds a bachelor’s in English from Towson University. She has been published and speaks globally about education technology, design thinking and academic innovation. She is passionate about improving higher education success for all learners.
