Chief Customer Officer
Sean Flynn is an accomplished sales leader with more than 15 years of experience at venture-backed startups, global technology companies and in public service.
Sean is the Chief Customer Officer of InStride, a learning services enterprise designed to achieve significant social impact through partnerships with universities and employers, providing employees the opportunity to earn the highest-quality degrees. In his role, Sean leads the strategy and execution of InStride’s corporate partnerships and go-to-market operations.
Prior to InStride, Sean was US CEO of Gympass, a platform that empowers employers to engage their workforce in physical activity by providing access to a network of over 47,000 gyms and fitness studios worldwide. Prior to that role, Sean built and led global sales teams for IBM Smarter Cities, IBM Commerce and IBM Collaboration & Talent business units. In previous roles, Sean also helped build IBM’s software business in the US Department of Defense and Intelligence Community.
Earlier in his career, Sean served as an Armor officer in the US Army. Among other roles, acting as Tank Platoon Leader, Battalion Maintenance Officer and Regimental Training Officer.
Sean holds an MBA from the University of Virginia and a Bachelor of Science from the United States Military Academy at West Point.
