Last month, we surpassed the one-year mark since the beginning of the COVID-19 pandemic. This period in history will forever be stained with crises and uncertainty. Millions of people had their lives upended, unemployment rates soared and employee engagement rates plummeted. 

However, data shows another startling headline: One in four women are now contemplating downsizing their careers or leaving the workforce entirely. 

Contrasting this data point with the benefits of having women in leadership positions is even more alarming: 


Women are a powerful and untapped resource in the workforce, and companies are at risk of losing current and future leaders with their possible exodus. 

It is time for companies to step up and increase their efforts to support women. Workforce education is one way to drive change and empower female employees’ careers at this critical time and in the future.
