Jim Alessandro is an accomplished marketing executive with decades of experience and a track record of success in marketing management and planning, operations strategy, communications, advertising, event planning and market research.
Jim is the Chief Marketing Officer of InStride, the Strategic Enterprise Education™ partner of choice for businesses creating sustainable advantage and social impact. In his role, he leads the organization’s business-to-business marketing, creative and brand communications activities.
Prior to joining InStride, Jim was the Chief Marketing Officer at the University of North Carolina (UNC) Kenan-Flagler Business School. Responsible for developing and overseeing all marketing-funnel activities, he handled reputation management, lead generation and applications for eight separate business programs. Prior to UNC, Jim worked for Walt Disney Parks & Resorts in various senior marketing roles, including serving as SVP, Marketing Content Management; SVP, Marketing Sales & Strategy; and SVP, Global Marketing Strategy & Planning. Before Disney, Jim was responsible for creative strategy and media planning at industry-leading advertising agencies such as Saatchi & Saatchi.
Jim holds bachelor’s degrees in business administration and marketing from Miami University.
