Jim Alessandro is an accomplished marketing executive with decades of experience and a track record of success in marketing management and planning, operations strategy, communications, advertising, event planning and market research.

Jim is the Chief Marketing Officer (CMO) of InStride, the Strategic Enterprise Education™ partner of choice for businesses creating sustainable advantage and social impact. In his role, he leads the organization’s business-to-business marketing, creative and brand communications activities.

Prior to joining InStride, Jim was the CMO at the University of North Carolina (UNC) Kenan-Flagler Business School. Responsible for developing and overseeing all marketing-funnel activities, he handled reputation management, lead generation and applications for eight separate business programs. Prior to UNC, Jim worked for Walt Disney Parks & Resorts in various senior marketing roles, including serving as SVP, Marketing Content Management; SVP, Marketing Sales & Strategy; and SVP, Global Marketing Strategy & Planning. Before Disney, Jim was responsible for creative strategy and media planning at industry-leading advertising agencies such as Saatchi & Saatchi.

Jim holds bachelor’s degrees in business administration and marketing from Miami University.
